Politico honcho John Harris offered the conventional Beltway wisdom, writing off Trump as a "silly season" candidate providing only entertainment and amusement. MSNBC analyst Mark Halperin was surprisingly respectful of Trump's candidacy, saying he's doing a lot of smart things and is the only candidate "willing to get in President Obama's face."
