President Barack Obama stopped at Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n Waffles in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles on Monday evening before heading for Hancock Park to speak at two star-studded fundraisers for his re-election campaign.

Obama was joined at the counter by Rep. Karen Bass, D-Los Angeles, where he ordered for himself and several aides. Obama's order included the No. 9 -- the "Country Boy" -- which consists of three wings, with the choice of waffle, potato salad and French fries.

Obama greeted the diners in each booth, including shaking hands with a boy.

From the restaurant at 5006 W. Pico Blvd., the presidential motorcade headed to Hancock Park for a $35,800-a-plate dinner at the home of producer James Lassiter.
